Alongside the maths batches we take science for classes 6 to 10, in the same small groups at A, Ground Floor, Z 397, Sector 12, Noida. At this level science is a single integrated subject — physics, chemistry and biology taught together — which is exactly how the board examines it.
Science Is Not a Memorising Subject, Whatever the Exam Looks Like
Most students arrive treating science as a list of things to remember. That works until about class 8 and then stops working, because from class 9 the paper starts asking why, and numerical questions in physics and chemistry begin carrying real marks.
The two habits worth building early are simple: understand a mechanism well enough to explain it to somebody else, and treat a numerical as a physics problem rather than a formula lookup. Both are teachable. Neither is taught by rushing.
Class by Class
Classes 6 to 8 — Building the Habit
Food and nutrition, fibre to fabric, separation of substances, changes around us, living organisms and their surroundings, motion and measurement, light, shadows and reflections, electricity and circuits, air and water, and the natural phenomena topics.
This is where curiosity either survives or does not, so the emphasis stays on explanation and simple practical reasoning rather than on learning definitions by heart. A student who can tell you why a shadow has a sharp edge is in a much better position three years later than one who has memorised the definition of an opaque object.
Class 9 — Where It Gets Serious
Matter in our surroundings, is matter around us pure, atoms and molecules, structure of the atom; the fundamental unit of life, tissues; motion, force and laws of motion, gravitation, work and energy, sound; and improvement in food resources.
Class 9 is the year numerical practice has to start properly. Motion and force questions are where marks first begin slipping away, and almost always because the algebra is slow rather than because the physics is misunderstood.
Class 10 — The Board Year
Chemical reactions and equations, acids, bases and salts, metals and non-metals, carbon and its compounds; life processes, control and coordination, how do organisms reproduce, heredity; light — reflection and refraction, the human eye and the colourful world, electricity, magnetic effects of electric current; and our environment.
From the start of class 10 we run previous-year board questions alongside the syllabus, with written practice every week and timed papers closer to the exam. Board marks are lost to time management at least as often as to not knowing the answer.
How Science Batches Run
Small batches, with the same teacher through the year rather than a rotation. Diagrams drawn rather than copied — a diagram you have drawn yourself is one you can reproduce in an exam hall. Written practice every week, previous-year board questions from class 9 onwards, and extra sessions before half-yearly and board exams.
Classes run Monday to Saturday between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm, with school batches in the earlier slots so they do not sit alongside the college groups.
Science and Maths Together
Many of our science students take mathematics here as well, and there is a real advantage to it. A large share of the marks lost in class 9 and 10 physics and chemistry are lost to arithmetic and algebra, not to the science itself. Because both subjects are taught by the same person, the maths gap behind a lost science mark gets noticed and fixed rather than drilled around. Ask about a combined timing when you call.
Common Questions
Do you teach physics, chemistry and biology separately?
Not at this level, because the board does not examine them separately. For classes 6 to 10 science is one integrated subject and we teach all of it — physics, chemistry and biology — in a single batch, in the proportion the syllabus sets. We take mathematics up to class 12, but science stops at class 10.
Which boards do you teach?
CBSE and ICSE. The content overlaps a great deal between them; the paper pattern does not, and we teach to the pattern your child will actually sit.
My child understands the theory but loses marks in numericals. Can you help?
Yes, and it is one of the most common problems we see from class 9 onwards. It is almost always a maths problem wearing a physics coat — the concept is understood, but the algebra is slow or uncertain under time pressure. We teach mathematics in the same centre, so we can address the cause rather than just drilling more numericals.

Can my child take both maths and science here?
Yes, and many do. The timetable is arranged so the two batches do not collide. Mention it when you enquire and we will place both together.
